Domaine de Gazel
Domaine de Gazel, a 15-hectare vineyard in rolling countryside, combines a diversity of grape varieties such as Syrah, Grenache and Carignan with a focus on old vines of 25 to 70 years. With respect for people and the environment, the domain, which is converting to organic farming, produces limited quantities of high-quality wines, made entirely on the estate and picked by hand.
The domain
Domaine de Gazel manages a vineyard of 15 hectares, of which 1 hectare is used for its own vinification. The domain emphasizes diversity in grape varieties, such as Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, Cinsault, Cot and Macabeu. The vineyards are spread over rolling hills, surrounded by scrubland, which gives each plot a unique identity.
We are proud of our exclusive partnership with Domaine de Gazel, a special wine estate where we are the only company allowed to purchase their wines for the professional market and abroad. Domaine de Gazel produces only a limited number of bottles per year, which makes the wines even more special and exclusive. While they only sell their wines to visitors who visit the estate themselves, we have the privilege of bringing these unique gems to a wider audience. Thanks to this exclusive agreement, we can offer our customers something truly special: wines with character and a unique story, normally only available locally, now accessible to enthusiasts and professionals in the Netherlands and abroad. This partnership emphasizes our passion for quality and our dedication to presenting special wines with a personal touch.
Organic wine growing
The domain works with respect for people and the environment and is in transition to organic farming. The grapes are picked by hand, and all steps of cultivation, vinification and bottling take place in the vineyard itself.
Of the 15 hectares, 10 hectares consist of vines that are between 25 and 70 years old. By keeping these old vines, Domaine de Gazel preserves both great potential and the rich history of the domain. For the red wines, the grapes are carefully selected from these oldest plots. This results in a limited production of 3,600 bottles of Carignan-Syrah and 400 bottles of Cot-Cinsault.
