Exclusive wines delivered with care

We are LAVIN, a family-run wine merchant specialising in exporting exceptional French wines to the Netherlands. Our name tells our story: LAVIN is a combination of our surname, Laning, and the French word vin, which means “wine”. It symbolises our personal approach and our passion for wine.

We bring exclusive wines from renowned regions such as Burgundy, Champagne, Languedoc-Roussillon, Vallée de la Loire and Vallée du Rhône directly from the winegrower to your table. What makes us unique is our personal approach. We collect the wines ourselves from the producers, store them in our warehouse and drive to the Netherlands every month to supply our customers with wines that are often still unknown in the Netherlands. Thanks to our close ties with the winegrowers, we can offer wines of exceptional quality at a fair price.

Our presence at French and international wine fairs keeps us up to date with the latest trends and developments in the wine world. Discover wines with a story, craftsmanship and a personal touch at LAVIN.

Organic wines: sustainable and pure

Part of our range is dedicated to organic wines, a category that is becoming increasingly popular among wine lovers. These wines are made without chemical pesticides, fertilizers or synthetic additives, which is not only better for nature, but also contributes to pure, authentic flavors in the glass.

We carefully select our organic wines from winegrowers who have sustainability at their core and are committed to healthy vineyards and balanced soil. This dedication to natural processes results in wines with character, in which the terroir is fully appreciated.

At LAVIN, we believe that organic wines are not only a conscious choice, but also a tasteful discovery for those looking for quality and authenticity. Whether you are a connoisseur or simply curious, our selection offers something special for everyone.

Who is behind LAVIN?

Dutch, French, English & Spanish

Ambierle, Loire (42), France

My name is Peter Laning, I was born in Zwolle, and I have been living in France for a long time now. My love of good wine and artisanal products led me to set up my own wine business, specialising in exceptional cuvées from mostly small, independent winemakers (vignerons indépendants).

My passion for wine has grown through practical experience: I have worked with various winegrowers in France, Argentina and Chile. There, I was able to see up close what it takes to make really good wine – from grape to bottle. To further deepen my knowledge, I also obtained the WSET 2 diploma at the AIVA (Académie Internationale des Vins en Alsace).

I don't sell standard wines, but characterful bottles with a story. I love to share my passion through tastings, collaborations or simply a good conversation about wine.

You are most welcome!

Own Transport, Storage and Customs

Personal care and value for winegrowers

At LAVIN we do everything ourselves to ensure that the wines arrive with the greatest care and attention to our customers in the Netherlands. We collect the wines directly from the winegrowers in France and store them in our own storage. This gives us full control over the process, so that we can always deliver the best quality.

Every month we personally drive from France to the Netherlands, where we provide our customers with exclusive wines. By arranging the transport ourselves, we can ensure that the wines are transported safely and under the right conditions. Our storage space ensures that the wines are kept in a controlled and stable environment, so that they are at their best when they arrive at our customers.

In addition, we also take full responsibility for all customs formalities. Many of the winegrowers we work with do not export themselves, simply because the customs procedures involve a lot of work. External companies can be hired to arrange this, but this is often not financially viable for smaller wine producers. We take all the work out of their hands, which means that we can not only offer exclusive wines to our customers in the Netherlands, but also provide significant added value for French winegrowers. They gain access to a wider market without having to worry about the administrative hassle of exporting. In this way, we create a win-win situation for both the winegrowers and our customers.

In order to handle the volumes as a family business, we sometimes work together with national delivery companies in the Netherlands. In this case, we bring the wines to the Netherlands, after which a local delivery company takes care of the delivery to the end customer. This way, we can both guarantee the quality of our service and serve our customers quickly and efficiently.
