This white Sancerre from this domain's oldest parcel offers richness and power, a wine to lay down with fruity aromas. This Sancerre is a delicacy, the Grall touch!
Light golden color with golden highlights. Notes of grapefruit, apricot and pineapple combine with toasted notes to form a pleasing bouquet. The wine is fleshy, with notes of candied citrus fruit (a sign of the fine ripeness of the grapes). The structure compacts and enriches the palate. The massive finish augurs well for the future.
Body: medium
Dry/fruity: dry
Acidity: balanced
Food: this wine goes well with a wide range of dishes such as seafood, vegetarian dishes, pork and spicy dishes. It also goes well with a good cheese.
The Domaine
Domaine Vincent Grall is one of the smallest wineries in the Sancerre region, with only 3.8 hectares of vineyards. Vincent Grall, who comes from a family with a rich winemaking tradition, began his own wine production in 1999 and has devoted himself entirely to his estate since 2000.
Vincent Grall uses an artisanal approach with manual harvesting and organic treatments, although the estate is not officially BIO certified (it is HVE-3). This approach reflects his commitment to natural viticulture and respect for the terroir.
