This Saint-Joseph has a dark color with purplish reflections. The nose reveals deep aromas of black cherry, blackberry, and violets. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and long, with a dense and structured texture supported by present but well-integrated tannins. The power is quite high, resulting in a more serious and concentrated wine than a classic Saint-Joseph, with a structure close to the top cuvées of the appellation. The acidity is average and provides real freshness without sharpness.

The estate
Domaine Vallet is a family estate in the heart of the Saint-Joseph appellation, on the granite slopes of the northern Rhône Valley. The grapes are harvested by hand and then vinified with whole bunches, including 100% stems.
Alcoholic fermentation and maceration last approximately 25 days in temperature-controlled vats, with regular pigeages to extract color and structure.
Maturation takes place entirely in 228-liter barriques for 22 months, resulting in complexity, depth, and refined tannins.
This long vinification and extended maturation produce a structured and concentrated wine designed to develop favorably over the years.
