Par-delà les Versants Rouge 2022 is a lively and characterful mountain wine, created from a bold blend of Gamaret, Mondeuse, Pinot Noir and Persan. This red wine is produced using organic farming methods and has been aged for 27 months without additives. It combines aromatic depth, freshness and finesse, offering a unique experience of the Savoie terroir at high altitude.

The estate
In the heart of the Combe de Savoie, in Saint-Pierre d'Albigny, Domaine Saint-Germain organically cultivates emblematic Savoyard grape varieties on clay-limestone soils originating from an ancient debris cone. Under the careful guidance of Raphaël Saint-Germain, the vineyards are cultivated with respect and the winemaking process emphasises softness and purity.

The grapes are harvested by hand, ensuring careful selection of the healthiest and ripest bunches. The grapes are then gently pressed, without the addition of sulphites, to preserve the aromatic finesse and natural freshness of the grape varieties. Fermentation is natural, respecting the pure expression of the terroir and each grape variety.
Ageing lasts 27 months, including 13 months in second-use barrels, which gives structure and roundness, followed by 14 months in tanks on fine lees to refine the texture and stabilise the wine. This long ageing develops a complex aromatic palette of blackberries, leather, dark flowers and sweet spices, while the wine remains silky smooth, fresh and perfectly balanced, the hallmark of elegant and characterful mountain wines.
