Made from 100% Syrah, this Cornas has a deep ruby red color with purple reflections. The nose reveals aromas of ripe black fruits such as cassis and blackberry, mixed with notes of candied cherry, herbs, mocha, licorice, and violets. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and silky smooth, yet dense and powerful, with a firm tannin structure and good length. Powerful and serious, typical of Syrah from the northern Rhône, it offers high intensity while remaining elegant. In its youth, it is structured and tannic with a nice minerality; after a few years, it evolves into complex tertiary aromas.

Cornas 2023 | Domaine Lemenicier
Depending on the age of the vines and the harvest year, the grapes are completely or partially destemmed before maceration for 22 to 28 days with daily pigeages.
The different cuvées are then aged separately for 12 months in oak barrels before blending and bottling.
This vinification process produces a structured and concentrated wine, with tannins that gradually soften during aging and a texture that is both dense and silky smooth.
