A rare white gem from a predominantly red wine region, producing a rich, elegant and complex blend.
The Traversier blanc cuvée is a precious rarity in an area mainly devoted to red wines. Made from Grenache blanc, Roussanne and Clairette grapes from forty-year-old organic vines, this white Châteauneuf-du-Pape has a delicate straw colour and a refined bouquet of white flowers, citrus fruits and fleshy fruits. On the palate, roundness and complexity combine with a mineral freshness, resulting in an exceptional wine that is both elegant and unique, expressing all the hidden elegance of the appellation.

The estate
The Simian estate, located in Piolenc in the southern Rhône Valley, has been a family business for five generations. The estate covers 25 hectares of vineyards, spread across several appellations: AOC Châteauneuf du Pape, AOC Massif d'Uchaux and AOC Côte du Rhône, as well as a few hectares of table wine. Since 2011, the Serguier family has been operating the vineyard according to the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture, certified by Ecocert and Demeter respectively. This sustainable approach emphasises harmony between the vineyards and nature, which contributes to the quality and character of their wines.

The grapes are harvested and sorted by hand, destemmed, gently crushed and then gently pressed in a pneumatic press.
After careful clarification, fermentation begins naturally thanks to a strain of indigenous yeasts, at a controlled temperature (18-20 °C) for about ten days. To preserve clarity and freshness, 70% of the blend ferments in stainless steel tanks, while the Roussanne matures in oak barrels, giving it roundness and complexity.
Seven months of ageing refines the whole and reveals a rich, balanced and remarkably precise wine.
