 The domain

Domaine Rémy Bertin is a family business that dates back to the 1960s, when Rémy and Jeanine Bertin bought their first vineyards in the Verneuil region, in the heart of the Vallée de la Marne. The estate, which began with the production of champagne, grew through passion and hard work.

In 2018, the brand name was revived by their granddaughter Sandie and her husband Ludovic, who continue the family tradition. They produce refined champagnes by combining the best of the vineyards and terroirs, with the three main grape varieties of Champagne: Meunier, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

Champagne Blanc de Noirs - Domaine Rémy Bertin

  • This champagne is disgorged at least three months before delivery, which ensures extra freshness and excitement in the glass.

The first fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation, during which harsh malic acids are converted into softer lactic acids. This gives the wine more roundness and balance.

As with all champagnes, this cuvée is vinified according to the méthode traditionnelle – a traditional process in which the second fermentation takes place in the bottle, creating the fine bubbles.

A maximum of 20% vin de réserve is used for this cuvée, which contributes to the complexity and consistency of the house style.

The wine is then aged sur lies for at least 15 months, giving it extra depth and texture.

Finally, the champagne is dosed as extra brut, with only 4 grams of sugar per litre – a style that perfectly showcases the purity and character of the wine.
