The domain
Located in Vincelles (51) in the heart of the Vallée de la Marne, the Durdon-Bouval estate combines generations of expertise and tradition. The estate covers 7.5 hectares of vineyards: 2.26 ha of Chardonnay, 1.82 ha of Pinot Meunier and 3.42 ha of Pinot Noir, spread across Verneuil, Mont Saint-Père, Passy-sur-Marne and Barzy-sur-Marne.
The range consists of a varied series of artisanal champagnes, made according to traditional methods, with a delicate and natural sparkle.
Organic wine growing
Since 2013, the Durdon-Bouval estate has been certified organic, recognising its commitment to environmentally friendly and sustainable practices. In addition, 5.95 hectares of the vineyards are managed biodynamically and have been Demeter-labelled since the 2023 harvest. The estate uses biodynamic preparations such as 500 P and 501 to stimulate microbial activity and soil quality. Orange peel essential oil is used to combat mildew. These methods promote deep root growth and enhance the unique expression of the terroir.
In the cellar, Domaine Durdon-Bouval uses a minimalist approach to preserve the purity of the grapes. For example, there is little or no use of chaptalization, cold treatment or sulphites. The domain strives to produce authentic wines of high quality, with respect for biodiversity and the health of the soil and landscape.
